Who is this course for?

Learners must have previously completed a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, either at IFA or equivalent, must possess an adequate level of English language skills and must demonstrate sufficient physical fitness to participate in the practical class components.

Employment Opportunities

On successful completion of this qualification, you will be able to lead group boxing fitness workouts as part of your personal training or fitness instructor role. You may also gain employment as a:
• Boxing Fitness Instructor (health & fitness club / gym)

Course Assessment

To become an IFA certified Boxing Fitness Instructor, the student must:
• Attend both course days (16 hours total)
• Complete an assessment workbook
• Pass the practical examination

Unit 1: History of boxing

lays the foundation for your understanding and practice of the art of boxing. From the earliest emergence of boxing, we explore its progression over the decades – and how it evolved into a popular form of fitness and exercise.

Unit 2: Introduction to pad work

takes learners through pad work techniques and safe practices in their day-to-day application of pad work with clients.

Unit 3: Designing a boxing fitness workout

introduces learners to a professional approach to setting up and planning a safe and effective boxing fitness workout for individuals and groups.

Unit 4: Leading a boxing fitness workout

gives you the tools to take your conceptual session design into the gym to lead a fun, sweat-drenching, and safe boxing fitness workout.
